Meet Pip & Pearl
Every summer, along the windswept beaches of Atlantic Canada, tiny piping plovers race across the sand, chasing the tide with surprising speed and endless curiosity. They are small birds with enormous spirit.
Pip and Pearl were inspired by these remarkable little shorebirds.
Pip is the adventurous one. He's always the first to investigate a new shell, follow mysterious footprints, or sprint after the retreating waves. Curious and fearless, he believes every beach has another story waiting to be discovered.
Pearl is thoughtful, observant, and quietly courageous. She notices the little things, a perfect feather, the rhythm of the tide, the first wildflowers growing behind the dunes. She reminds Pip to slow down and appreciate the beauty that's already around them.
Together, they explore the coastline they call home, meeting colourful sea creatures, seabirds, and all the wonderful wildlife that make Atlantic Canada such a special place.
But life on the beach isn't always easy.
The places they love are changing. Storms reshape the shoreline, coastal development is at a record high while busy beaches become harder places to raise a family.
Rather than letting those challenges define them, Pip and Pearl choose hope.
Every adventure is a reminder that even the smallest voices matter. Through kindness, curiosity, and a little courage, they inspire people to notice the wildlife around them and care for the places we all share.
